This is a self, durational, autobiographical, one on one performance that depends on time, space and action. At this performance I examine the interaction between human beings from my own BEING perspective. The connection depended on the type of journey being selected, the collaboration, truthfulness, containment and acceptance of ourselves and one another through a one-time event between two strangers that flows between rules of western/modern humanity and the rules of Self Me. The performance consisted of three journeys:
“Listen” journey: Confession in exchange for confession. I will have to listen to you and you will have to listen to me.
“Examine” journey: Examining the self and its limits.
“Obey” journey: Examining the self and its boundaries.
The performance functions also as a memorial monument that brings into presence each and every time the pieces of memories and experiences that are already being carried upon: The box, the book of the performance, the cloth from the “obey” journey and the hair (that the audience take with them).
My inspiration for this performance was the British performance artist Adrian Howells (RIP).
